The Two Liturgies

"In my life, there are wondrous Liturgies that the heart remembers and beats for in a different way...

For example, when God allowed me to attend two Liturgies in a single day!

This happened during a period long, long ago during the Fast of the Virgin Mary, when I took part in something like this: after finishing a Liturgy service at one altar, I moved directly to the next Liturgy at the adjacent altar... serving in the same role outside the sanctuary.

This didn't happen often—only three times!

However, this wondrous Liturgy that God allowed me to attend twice occurred about ten hours apart, at two different altars, in two different churches, across two different states, and even in two different dioceses!

I thank God for allowing me this miraculous Liturgy. The first was at the altar of the Church of St. Shenouda the Archimandrite and St. Abraam, Bishop of Fayoum and Giza, in the state of Kentucky, with the blessing of serving inside the sanctuary—on Friday evening, October 7, 2016.

It was an evening Liturgy due to the circumstances of the priest who traveled from South Carolina, accompanied by a pastoral absolution.

Then came the morning Liturgy at the Church of St. Sarabamone Abo Taraha in the state of Tennessee, with the blessing of serving outside the sanctuary—on Saturday morning, October 8, 2016.

We thank God very, very much..."
