The Nativity of Christ: The True Star Who Leads Us to the Heavenly Kingdom.
The Feast of the Nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ is not merely a remembrance of a historical event, but a living proclamation of God’s love for humanity. In the fullness of time, the eternal Word took flesh and was born of the Virgin Mary in humility, so that He might raise us from earth to heaven.
“But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman.”
(Galatians 4:4)
On the night of His holy birth, the world was still, yet heaven was alive with glory. Angels praised, shepherds rejoiced, and a mysterious star appeared in the East—guiding the wise men to the newborn King.
“We saw His star in the East and have come to worship Him.”
(Matthew 2:2)
The Star and the True Light
The star was not merely a sign in the sky; it was a divine invitation. It led the wise men step by step, until it stood over the place where the Child was. This star teaches us a profound spiritual truth: God always provides light for those who sincerely seek Him.
Yet the Church reminds us that the true and eternal Star is not the one seen in the heavens—but the Lord Jesus Christ Himself.
“I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness.”
(John 8:12)
The star led the wise men to Christ, but Christ leads us to the Father and to the Kingdom of Heaven. He does not only show the way—He is the Way.
“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
(John 14:6)
Christ, Our Guide and Our Way
Just as the wise men left their land, comforts, and former paths to follow the star, we too are called to leave behind sin, darkness, and confusion, and to follow Christ daily. The journey may be long, but the destination is glorious—to behold Christ and worship Him.
In the Nativity, Christ became close to us, so that we might become citizens of heaven.

Our Response to the Nativity
The wise men responded with worship, gifts, and obedience. They returned to their country “by another way” (Matthew 2:12). Encountering Christ always changes our direction.
May this blessed Feast of the Nativity renew our hearts, enlighten our paths, and lead us to follow the True Star, our Lord Jesus Christ—who guides us not only to Bethlehem, but to the eternal Kingdom.
“Those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament.”
(Daniel 12:3)

عيد الميلاد المجيد: النجم الحقيقي الذي يقودنا إلى الملكوت السماوي
إن عيد ميلاد ربنا وإلهنا ومخلّصنا يسوع المسيح ليس مجرد تذكار لحدث تاريخي، بل هو إعلان حيّ لمحبة الله للبشر. ففي ملء الزمان، تجسّد الكلمة الأزلي وولد من العذراء مريم باتضاع، لكي يرفعنا من الأرض إلى السماء.
«وَلَمَّا جَاءَ مِلْءُ الزَّمَانِ، أَرْسَلَ ٱللَّهُ ٱبْنَهُ مَوْلُودًا مِنِ ٱمْرَأَةٍ»
(غلاطية ٤: ٤)
في ليلة ميلاده المقدّسة، سكن العالم في صمت، بينما امتلأت السماء مجدًا. سبّحت الملائكة، وفرح الرعاة، وظهر نجم عجيب في المشرق ليقود المجوس إلى الملك المولود.
«فَإِنَّنَا رَأَيْنَا نَجْمَهُ فِي ٱلْمَشْرِقِ وَأَتَيْنَا لِنَسْجُدَ لَهُ»
(متى ٢: ٢)
النجم والنور الحقيقي
لم يكن النجم مجرد علامة في السماء، بل كان دعوة إلهية. فقد قاد المجوس خطوة بخطوة حتى وقف فوق الموضع الذي كان فيه الصبي. ويعلّمنا هذا النجم حقيقة روحية عميقة: الله دائمًا يمنح نورًا لكل من يطلبه بإخلاص.
غير أن الكنيسة تذكّرنا بأن النجم الحقيقي والأبدي ليس هو الذي في السماء، بل ربنا يسوع المسيح نفسه.
«أَنَا هُوَ نُورُ ٱلْعَالَمِ. مَنْ يَتْبَعْنِي فَلَا يَمْشِي فِي ٱلظُّلْمَةِ»
(يوحنا ٨: ١٢)
لقد قاد النجم المجوس إلى المسيح، أمّا المسيح فيقودنا إلى الآب وإلى ملكوت السماوات. فهو لا يكتفي بأن يرشد الطريق، بل هو الطريق نفسه.
«أَنَا هُوَ ٱلطَّرِيقُ وَٱلْحَقُّ وَٱلْحَيَاةُ. لَيْسَ أَحَدٌ يَأْتِي إِلَى ٱلْآبِ إِلَّا بِي»
(يوحنا ١٤: ٦)
المسيح قائدنا وطريقنا
كما ترك المجوس بلادهم وراحتهم وطرقهم القديمة ليتبعوا النجم، هكذا نحن أيضًا مدعوون أن نترك الخطيئة والظلمة والتشتت، ونسير خلف المسيح كل يوم. قد تكون الرحلة طويلة، لكن غايتها مجيدة: أن نرى المسيح ونسجد له.
في الميلاد، اقترب المسيح منا، لكي نصير نحن قريبين من السماء ومواطنين في الملكوت.
لنبارك الرب الذي أتى إلى الأرض لكي نحيا في نوره.
المسيح هو نور العالم.
استجابتنا لعيد الميلاد
لقد استجاب المجوس بالعبادة وتقديم الهدايا والطاعة، ثم رجعوا إلى بلادهم «في طريق أخرى» (متى ٢: ١٢). إن لقاء المسيح يغيّر دائمًا اتجاه حياتنا.
ليجدّد عيد الميلاد المجيد قلوبنا، وينير طرقنا، ويقودنا لاتباع النجم الحقيقي، ربنا يسوع المسيح، الذي لا يقودنا فقط إلى بيت لحم، بل إلى الملكوت الأبدي.
«وَٱلْفَاهِمُونَ يُضِيئُونَ كَضِيَاءِ ٱلْجَلَدِ»
(دانيال ١٢: ٣)
المجد لك أيها الرب، لأنك أتيت إلى الأرض من أجل خلاصنا.
