​Wishing you a blessed and meaningful Holy Week. These are honestly the most sacred and beautiful days of the year—the ones we wait for just to walk with Christ, step by step, through His journey ⛪🙏. I know you especially look forward to the "Pascha prayers" and that deep, mournful vibe that hits different every single year 🖤.

​Listen, even though you’re a "pro" deacon with years of experience in Pascha tunes, I was thinking we could nerd out a bit on the structure of the "Edribi Psalm" (Kee Eperto). I know you’ve got a big heart and a sharp ear, so I wanted to share a few "pro-tips" on the composition that I think you'll appreciate:

​1. The "Tyc" (Tis) Move 🎼

​Have you noticed that specific spot at the start of the 2nd and 4th stanzas? Yep, I’m talking about the word "Tis." The way you start the 1st stanza is totally different from the 2nd and 4th. It’s a short little "station," but out of respect for the authentic oral tradition, we can't just skip over it or treat it like the others 🧐.

​2. The Game of Tones (Damma, Fatha, Kasra) 🎶

​As you know, our hymns are basically built on three main vocal movements: Damma, Fatha, and Kasra. In the 1st, 2nd, and 4th stanzas, the melody centers on two main stations: the Damma in "Axio" and the Kasra in "Thini."

​Honestly, I’m not a fan of repeating the exact same vocal slide twice in one stanza. It feels a bit repetitive, right? Here’s my take:

​If you start with a Damma in the first station, try not to choose a Damma for the second one.

​Be intentional about it! If you hit a Damma in "Epchois," maybe pivot away from it in "Efnoti" if that's how the stanza ends.

​Mix it up! A great Psalm should feel balanced with all three vocal flavors. What you start with, you shouldn't end with 🌀.

​3. The "Roadmap" for the Perfect Ending 🗺️

​When you’re closing out the 1st, 2nd, and 4th stanzas, try this: instead of stopping at the very last syllable, back up and make your "station" at the third syllable from the end.

​It’s not ideal to park your melody on the very last vocal bit, or even the one right before it.

​Save those last two syllables as the "sweet finish"—the dessert of the tune 🍬.

​For example, that Kasra in "Thini" is the perfect third-from-the-end spot. If the word is "Efnoti," make your main move on the Kasra of the "Fai," not the end of the word 🎧.

​4. The "Tricky" 3rd Stanza 🤔

​This one is a bit of a puzzle. It has two main vocal points—one at the start and one at the end. Please, try to make them distinct from each other! Also, the "end" of this stanza should land on the penultimate (second to last) syllable, not the very last one.

​I know this might sound a bit technical or maybe even tricky to pull off in some Psalms, and it might not totally match your personal prayer style. But seriously, thanks for listening to me rant 😅.

نسيم البخور في حُسْن تركيب المزمور 

يا أهلًا يا شريكي في الخدمة، يا "فلان" يا غالي 🌹✨

​كل سنة وأنت طيب وبخير بمناسبة أسبوع الآلام.. أقدس وأجمل أيام السنة اللي بنستناها عشان نعيش مع المسيح لحظة بلحظة ⛪🙏.. وعارف إنك بالذات بتستنى "صلوات البصخة" واللحن الحزايني ده بشوق من السنة للسنة 🖤.

​بص يا سيدي، رغم إنك شماس "قديم" ولك باع في البصخة والألحان، بس أنا فكرت ندردش شوية في "تركيبة المزمور الإدريبي" (كي إيبيرتو).. وعارف إنك قلبك كبير وهتسمعني 😇. التجارة بالوزنات مكسب، ودفنها ندم، فقلت أقولك على كام "تاتش" كده في التركيبة يمكن يعجبوك:

​1. حركة الـ "تيس" (Tyc) 🎼

​خدت بالك من المحطة اللي في أول الاستيخون التاني والرابع؟ أيوه.. كلمة "تيس". بداية الاستيخون الأول غير التاني والرابع تماماً.. هي محطة قصيرة بس "أمانة التسليم" بتقول إننا مينفعش نكروتها أو نتجاهلها 🧐.

​2. لعبة الحركات (الضمة، الفتحة، الكسرة) 🎶

​أنت عارف إن أنغامنا كلها مابتخرجش عن "الضمة والفتحة والكسرة". في الاستيخون الأول والتاني والرابع، النغمة بتتركز في محطتين (الضمة في "أكسيو" والكسرة في "ثيني").

أنا رأيي الشخصي بلاش نكرر نفس النغمة في نفس الاستيخون عشان ميبقاش فيه ملل.. يعني:

​لو بدأت بـ "ضمة" في المحطة الأولى، بلاش تنهي بـ "ضمة" في التانية.

​لو لقيت ضمة في "أبشويس"، حاول تتجاهلها في "أفنوتي" لو دي نهاية الاستيخون.

​نوع يا بطل! لازم المزمور يكون فيه "بركة المقاطع التلاتة" (ضمة، فتحة، كسرة) وما تبدأش بحاجة وتنهي بزيها 🌀.

​3. خريطة الطريق للنهايات 🗺️

​لما تيجي تقفل الاستيخون (الأول والتاني والرابع)، ارجع خطوتين لورا وقف عند "تالت مقطع من النهاية".

​بلاش تقفل عند آخر مقطع، ولا اللي قبله.

​خلي آخر مقطعين هما "الحلو" اللي بنختم بيه 🍬.

​زي الكسرة في "ثيني" هي دي المحطة الصح. لو الكلمة آخرها "أفنوتي"، خلي محطتك في كسرة (الفاي) مش في (التي) ولا (الأو) 🎧.

​4. الاستيخون التالت "المحير" 🤔

​ده بقى فيه مقطعين؛ واحد في الأول وواحد في الآخر. من فضلك خليهم مختلفين عن بعض تماماً.. والنهاية هنا تكون عند المقطع "قبل الأخير" مش الأخير.

​عارف إن الكلام ده ممكن يكون صعب في تنفيذ بعض المزامير، أو مش ماشي مع ستايلك في الصلاة، بس بجد تسلم إنك سمعتني لآخر الموال ده 😅.

​لو حبيت، المرة الجاية ندردش في المزامير اللي بالعربي، أو المزامير الطويلة (8 استيخونات) 📖.
