Hey brother, this isn’t just a list of rules; it’s a POV I wrote for myself that I wanted to share with you. You know that the "Golden Era" of our church year is those 11 days starting from the Last Friday of Lent all the way to the Liturgy on Sham El-Nessim. It’s literally the Crown Jewel of our spiritual life. 💎🔥
Here’s how to stay locked in and serve like a pro:
1. The Pre-Game 🎮
Get Ready Early: Before the Friday Liturgy, do some metanias (prostrations) for your church fam and the peace of the service.
Study the Meta: Make sure you’ve reviewed the "Lazarus" hymn and the Palm Sunday tunes. Don't go in "blind." 📖
Stay Chill: The enemy loves to create drama in big crowds. Do not lose your cool. Be the calmest person in the room. 🧘♂️
2. The Look & Gear 🖤
The "Lamentations" Fit: Wear your black shirt (you know the one) and some practical jeans.
Silent Mode: Use black indoor shoes with thin soles so you can move around the Altar and the church silently. No "clacking" during the prayers! 👟🤫
Your Toolbox: Always have your own Dallal (the Pascha book)—whether it’s a physical book or a downloaded PDF on your phone. Bring a pencil, an eraser, and some mints to stay sharp. 📱✏️🍬
3. Spiritual Focus (No Distractions!) 🚫
Protect Your Eyes: Don't let your eyes wander toward the people's side. It’s easy to get distracted. Sit in a way that keeps your focus on the prayer and away from "people-watching." Keep it holy. 🕊️
Ego Check: Avoid showing off or wanting the "Main Character" spotlight. If you’re on the schedule, great. If they forget you, even better. Say "Thank God" either way. 😌
No Toxicity: Don't gossip or talk too much. And please, don't judge your brothers if they mess up a hymn or sound funny. Be kind and supportive to everyone—priests, scouts, and workers. 🤝
4. Martha Vibes vs. Mary Vibes 🔄
You’re going to be Martha (working hard) so that everyone else can be Mary (sitting at Jesus' feet).
Once the church is organized and peaceful because of your hard work, then you can finally switch to "Mary mode" and soak in the prayers too.
Main Character Energy: If you’re asked to lead a Psalm, do it with a thankful heart. But if you’re asked again, let someone else have the blessing. Don't be greedy for the mic! 🎤❌
5. Stay Local 📍
Don't Ghost Your Church: Don't go running off to other churches or monasteries just to hear a specific priest’s sermon. Your church needs YOU right now. Stay within the walls of your home parish. ⛪️🏠
The "Behind the Scenes" Blessing: Stay after the Liturgies to help set up the black curtains and prepare for the next service. You wouldn't believe the blessings you get from doing the "invisible" work. ✨
6. Finish Strong 💪
Don't skip out on the Sham El-Nessim Liturgy. Get that final blessing and the burial spices (Hanout).
This is your spiritual "storage" for when you get older. Use your youth and energy for Him now! 🔋

خليك هادي: الشيطان بيحب "ينكش" في الزحمة 😈، فخليك أنت "أهدى حد" في الكنيسة، مفيش عصبية ولا صوت عالي، إحنا جايين نريح الناس مش نتخانق معاهم! 🤫
الـ Outfit بتاعك: القميص الأسود الشيك بتاع كل سنة 🖤، والجينز المريح، و"تليك" نعل بلاستيك عشان حركتك تبقى خفيفة ومن غير صوت جوه الهيكل 👟.
شنطة العدة: معاك دلال البصخة بتاعك (أو الموبايل مشحون وعليه الكتاب) 📱، قلم رصاص، وشوية بونبوني نعناع عشان تفوق 🍬.
عنيك في كتابك: بلاش "التلفت" يمين وشمال في جهة السيدات 🫣، خليك مركز في صلاتك وادي ظهرك لأي تشتيت عشان تحافظ على قلبك نظيف.
خليك "Flexible": قالولك قول لحن.. قول "أشكر الله". نسيوك في الجدول؟.. قول "أشكر الله" برضه برضا 😇. مفيش مقارنات بينك وبين إخواتك، إحنا بنخدم ملك الملوك مش بننافس بعض! 👑
ممنوع النقد: فلان غلط في الهزات؟ علان صوته مش قد كده؟ خليك حنين وبلاش تريقة 🤐، خلي روحك حلوة مع الكشافة والعمال وكل الناس.
خليك "مرثا" و"مريم": إتعب في الترتيب والتنظيم (مرثا) عشان الكنيسة تبقى هادية، وساعتها هتعرف تقعد تحت رجلين المسيح وتسمع (مريم) في هدوء 🧘♂️.
خليك "Local": بلاش مشاوير وأديرة في الأيام دي، خليك جوه "كنيستك" هي محتاجة مجهودك وشطارتك ⛪️.
التجهيزات: شارك في فرش الكنيسة بالأسود 🖤، وخليك موجود في "الباراقليط" وليلة أبو غلمسيس.. التعب ده هو اللي بيبني فيك "شماس حقيقي" 💪.
كل سنة وأنت طيب يا بطل، وتعيش وتخدم وتفرح بالقيامة! 🕊️
